“Look Up! Not just at the fire.”

In times of trouble,
Lord, remind me to look to you.
When fires rage,
And smoke flows;
Lord, I look to you.

Bless those who fight the fire;
Keep them safe in Your arms.
Fire breaks and water,
Can only do so much;
Lord, remind us to look to You for help.

Mother Nature… who is she?
She is nothing, compared to You.
You alone control the rain, the wind, and the waters.
You send them at the proper times.

Lord, protect us from those who do evil;
Those who light fires to cause pain,
Pandemonium, and Chaos.
You alone - yes, you who do evil -
You will reap the whirlwind of your
Decisions.

Lord, bring us back to our knees;
Let us look to You first and last.
And bless those who fight and stand,
In our stead.

Bless the Firefighters - paid and unpaid;
Bless the Forestry Officers;
Bless the Search and Rescue Personnel;
Bless the Pilots;
Bless the Police Officers;
Bless the Dispatchers;
Bless the Medical Personnel;
Bless the Canadian Forces;
Bless the Red Cross;
Bless the Salvation Army;
and Lord, Bless our Government of Newfoundland and Labrador;
Bless all the volunteers- seen and unseen.
