“The Golden Hue”

The Golden Hue of

Leaves so bright,

Reminds me not of

The coming night;

It reminds me of You.

Blessings, O so great;

My cup overflows

And fills my plate.

Yes, these golden leaves remind me,

As they fall on the ground.

My life is like the changing seasons—

Here one moment and gone again—

Yet, I could stay in this moment forever.

From tender sapling to mighty tree,

We all begin and start to see His glory.

How our little roots run so deep,

And then transform to outstretched arms—

Oh! Tossed in the chaos of life’s growing storms,

No! I will not be uprooted.

One more leaf starts its event;

Bumping, crashing, in its inevitable descent.

Millions have gone before,

Their leaves shining so bright;

They form a masterpiece together—as One.

As it falls towards the cold, hard earth,

Its coloring does not change.

Oh, the assurance, that knowing when you fall,

Your beauty still remains…

In Him.
